BMKG: Rain In Most Parts Of Indonesia This Wednesday
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the majority of Indonesia will rain on Wednesday, January 22.
BMKG forecaster Nurul Izzah Fitria explained that the weather in Banda Aceh is predicted to be cloudy, while in Medan, Pekanbaru and Padang light rain is forecast.
"Then, friends in Tanjung Pinang have the potential to rain with moderate intensity," said Nurul, quoted by ANTARA.
Furthermore, Nurul said that the weather in Jambi is predicted to be thick cloudy, while in Bengkulu, Palembang, Pangkal Pinang, and Bandar Lampung there is the potential for light rain.
On the island of Java, he continued, the weather in DKI Jakarta is forecasted to be thick cloudy, but in other areas such as Serang, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya there is the potential for light rain.
"For Mataram City, there is the potential for light rain. Then, in Denpasar and Kupang there is the potential for moderate rain," he said.
Then on the island of Kalimantan, said Nurul, the potential for light rain is predicted to occur in Samarinda, and rain is predicted to occur in Pontianak. Meanwhile, heavy rain accompanied by lightning is predicted to occur in Tanjung Selor, Palangkaraya, and Banjarmasin.
Furthermore, for Sulawesi Island, said Nurul, the potential for light rain is also found in Palu and Kendari.
"Meanwhile, in Makassar, Mamuju, and Gorontalo there is the potential for rain with moderate intensity. Then, it is necessary to be aware of the potential for heavy rain for friends in Manado City," he said.
