South Sulawesi Police Arrest Hoax Spreader Of Police Academy Revenue Fees
The South Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda) arrested three perpetrators of the crime of spreading false information or hoaxes related to the cost of education at the 2025 Police Academy (Akpol) admission.
"The team managed to secure three suspects, each with the initials AIS after 22 years, AF after 28 years, and TM after 34 years. Several pieces of evidence were also confiscated in this case," said Head of Sub-Dividpenmas Bidhumas South Sulawesi Police AKBP Yerlin Trend Kate to reporters at the South Sulawesi Police Headquarters, Makassar, Tuesday, January 21, reported by ANTARA.
The evidence confiscated was, a blue Oppo A12 cellphone, a black Itel S23 cellphone, an iPhone 13 mini, a silver Lenovo laptop, and a screenshot or screenshot of the article with the keyword 'AKPOL Education Feature'.
The actions of the three suspects are subject to Article 45A paragraphs (1) and (2) in conjunction with Article 28 paragraph (1) and (2) of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions or ITE.
"The threat of punishment is in the form of imprisonment for a maximum of six years and/or a maximum fine of Rp. 1 billion," said Yerlin, accompanied by the Head of the Bagdalpers Sub-section of Human Resources of the South Sulawesi Regional Police, I Made Suarma and the Head of Sub-Directorate V Tipidsiber of the South Sulawesi Regional Police, Kompol Bayu Wicaksono Febrianto and his staff. .

At the meeting, AF saw advertisements about the 2025 Akpol admission and then suggested making articles about the cost of entering the Police Academy.
Furthermore, on January 15, 2025, AF gave the keyword 'AKPOL Education Feature' to AIS (Aisyah) for an article to be made and then published on the official website of the ASN Institute.
