AGO Blocks President Director Of PT Kebun Tebu Mas Who Becomes Fugitive In Sugar Corruption Case
JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) stated that the President Director of PT Kebun Tebu Mas (PT KTM), Ali Sanjaya B (ASB), was suspected of corruption in sugar imports at the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) for the 2015-2016 period.
Ali Sanjaya B is one of two suspects who are fugitives in the alleged corruption case.
"Yes, the person concerned has been prevented from traveling abroad," said the Head of the AGO, Harli Siregar, to reporters, Tuesday, January 21.
Investigators are looking for information about their whereabouts.
"We are gathering information, what kind of whereabouts the person concerned is, whether due to illness, for example or not, on the spot," said Harli.
Previously, the AGO arrested Hendrgianto Antonio Tiwon or HAT, President Director of PT Duta Sugar Internasional (PT DSI) in the Pangkalanbuun area, Central Kalimantan.
Investigators decided to arrest Hendrogianto Antonio Tiwon. The detention was carried out after undergoing a series of examinations as suspects at the AGO.
"Today the person concerned is being held at the Salemba Rutan at the Attorney General's Office," said Harli.

Hans Falita Hutama (HFH) as President Director of PT Berkah Manis Makmur (PT BMM); and Eka Sapanca (ES) as President Director of PT Permata Dunia Sukses Utama (PT PDSU) for the 2016 period.
