JAKARTA - Donald John Trump, also known as Donald Trump, has been officially inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States (US), replacing incumbent Joe Biden at the Capitol Building Rotunda, Washington DC, United States, Monday, January 20 local time.

Donald Trump took the oath as President of the United States in accordance with the United States Constitution, guided by the Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court John Glover Roberts Jr., accompanied by his wife Melania Trump.

"I do solemnly wear that I will successfully exclude the Office of the President of the United States, and will to the best of my affordability, deserves, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States So, help me God."

"I swear (or promise) seriously that I will faithfully carry out the position of President of the United States, and will try my best to maintain, protect, and defend the United States Constitution. So, please God," Trump said.

Former President Biden and wife Jill Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris and husband Douglas Emhoff attended the inauguration after saying goodbye at the White House.

Also attending this inauguration were former Vice President Mike Pence, former President Bill Clinton and wife, former President George H Bush and wife and former President Barack Obama.

Promoted by the Republican Party and paired with JD Vance, the two were sworn in after winning the US Presidential Election which was held on November 5, 2024.

The Trump-Vance pair managed to beat Kamala Harris and the Walz Team promoted by the Democratic Party.

Trump-Vance won 312 electoral votes (49.9%), while Harris-Walkz only won 226 electoral votes (48.4.9%), out of the minimum 270 electoral votes needed to win the US presidential election.

Trump-Vance pair won elections in Montana, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraskan, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Alaska, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana. Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Meanwhile, the Harris-Walk pair won elections in Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Minnesota, Illinois, Virginia, New York, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and District of Columbia.
