Denpasar City Government Cares For The Needs Of Survivors From Ubung Landslides
DENPASAR - Denpasar City Government (Pemkot) Denpasar takes care of the needs of survivors in landslides in Ubung Kaja Village.
"We have evacuated the survivors. There are three, now they are in the Wantilan (village balance)," said Denpasar City Regional Secretary (Sekda) Ida Bagus Alit Wiradana, Monday, January 20.
Denpasar City Government will deploy relevant agencies to ensure the provision of clothing and food for survivors.
At around 7.30 WITA there was a landslide that buried a boarding house on Jalan Kendedes I, Ubung Kaja Village, where as many as three people were declared safe and five others died.
Regional Secretary Alit ordered the local village head to conduct a sweep of the area, because previously a similar disaster occurred not far from the current location to anticipate recurring events.
Head of Denpasar City Social Service (Dinsos) I Gusti Ayu Laxmy Saraswaty said that currently three survivors and fellow boarding school victims who are all project workers have been secured at the village Wantilan.
Furthermore, the Denpasar Social Service Office will find them a temporary boarding house, prepare housing needs, prepare food, and a medical team for routine control for 7 days of handling.
"We are looking for a place that deserves to be safe from the traumatics, food, clothing needs, and medical access, including when they return home. We are coordinating with hospitals regarding the return of the bodies," said Laxmy.

Laxmy also emphasized that the workers of this project should return to their home areas later, because in this disaster they all lost their identity letters, they were also considered to need to carry out treatment with their families before returning to work.
It is known that three survivors in this disaster were Viki Fernando, Rokim, and Franky, while the dead were Didik, Dwi, Wito, Kresno, and Sarif.
