650 Unoperating Kiosks After Glodok Plaza Fire, Online Trade Business Seller
JAKARTA - Glodok Plaza marketing team, Angga Aditya said there were 650 kiosks that had been unable to operate in their buildings due to fires since last Wednesday, January 15.
From this, Glodok Plaza management estimates that the potential for money circulation lost due to hundreds of stalls not operating reaches hundreds of millions of rupiah. This figure is beyond material losses caused by the fire.
"Certainly it is above hundreds of millions, yes, because we have up to 650 stores. All activities from the LGF floor to the 7th floor are that much," Angga told reporters, Sunday, January 19.
Thus, a number of Glodok Plaza traders tried to keep their business through other platforms in order to reduce their income losses.
"Some have tried to reduce their losses by doing activities elsewhere. It can be online or from the warehouse where they are rented in other buildings," said Angga.
The Glodok Plaza fire point is located on the 7th, 8th, and 9th floors. However, all business actors selling at Glodok Plaza were forced not to be able to move due to the building being closed. Sellers also cannot just enter the building area even though it is only limited to checking the condition of their stalls.
