The Corruption Session Of The Tsunami Shelter Project In North Lombok Involves Retired BUMN Karya Held January 22
The inaugural trial of the corruption case for the construction of a temporary evacuation site (TES) or tsunami shelter in North Lombok Regency with two suspects Aprially Nirmala and Agus Herijanto will be held at the Mataram District Court on Wednesday, January 22.
"The judge of my own career, Lalu Moh. Sandi Iramaya and his Adhoc judge Mr. Fadhli Hanra," said Mataram District Court spokesman Lalu Moh. Sandi Iramaya in a telephone call, Friday, January 17, confiscated by Antara.
The trial schedule was quoted from the Case Tracking Information System (SIPP) of the Mataram District Court which was registered on Thursday, January 16, and has been registered with the number: 6/Pid.Sus-TPK/2025/PN Mtr. The classification of cases is included in a criminal act of corruption with an indictment not yet displayed.
Previously, the KPK on Monday, December 30, 2024 held a press conference regarding the detention of the two suspects Apriarily Nirmala and Agus Herijanto in the corruption case of the tsunami shelter building project in North Lombok.
KPK Director of Investigation Asep Guntur Rahayu revealed the roles of the two suspects.
For Aprially Nirmala (AN) is a commitment-making official (PPK) for the tsunami shelter project from the NTB Province Building and Environmental Planning Work Unit (Satker PBL) at the Indonesian Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).
Then, Agus Herijanto (AH) is a retired BUMN Karya who acts as the head of the tsunami shelter construction project which is located close to the Bangsal Port area, Pemenang District, North Lombok Regency.
The KPK stated that AN's criminal act at that time as the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) for the tsunami shelter project was related to the quality of the work results.
Suspect AN is responsible for the emergence of a decrease in building material specifications which did not go through a study process in accordance with the plan to build an earthquake-resistant tsunami shelter building with a power of 9 Richter Scale (SR).
The strength of this building can be seen from the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that occurred on August 5, 2018. The earthquake occurred after the handover of work to the North Lombok Regency Government in 2017.
As a result of the natural disaster, the tsunami shelter, which stands on an area of 1 hectare, suffered alarming damage so that it could not be used according to the initial plan.
This was also strengthened by the results of the physical assessment of a team of construction experts from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). Because it could not be utilized, the audit results of the auditor agency concluded that the state's financial loss from the project was a total loss with a value of Rp. 19 billion.
By finding the evidence, KPK investigators then named AN and AH as suspects in mid-2023.
They were named as suspects who were suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) or Article 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
