Students In Sukoharjo Toxic Free Nutritious Eating, BGN Calls The Triggering Chicken Processing Error
JAKARTA - Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana said there was a technical error in processing the chicken in the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) menu which allegedly triggered a number of poisoned students in Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java.
"A total of 40 people eat marginalized chickens, after finding out that someone was nauseous, all the chickens were pulled and replaced with eggs," said Dadan, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, January 16.
Dadan said students who were poisoned had shown symptoms of nausea, and immediately were treated by officers and treated according to medical procedures.
"Those who were nauseous were treated by officers and treated and were cheerful again," he said.
Officers also acted quickly by pulling all chicken dishes, one of which was chickencrysm and replacing it with boiled eggs.
When asked whether the incident was caused by a technical error in the presentation of the MBG menu, Dadan admitted that.
"Technical processing. The details follow, yes," he said.
As previously reported, the food poisoning incident occurred at SDN Dukuh 03 Sukoharjo after a number of students ate food from the MBG Program.
Foods that arrive at school at 09.00 WIB consist of white rice, flour chicken, tofu carrots, dragon fruit, and milk.
Some students began to experience symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, and vomiting after eating the menu.

Of the 200 students who received the food, about 10 students from grades 1 to grade 6 reported these symptoms. They also smelled the stale odor of the flour chicken served.
The school immediately withdrew the remaining food and reported this incident to the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) and the Sukoharjo City Health Center.
Head of the Sukoharjo City Health Center, Kunari Mahanani, confirmed that the chicken served was not fully mature, as acknowledged by Kodim 0726 Sukoharjo as the SPPG manager.
However, the condition of the students did not require further treatment at the hospital. They only experience mild symptoms and have received medical treatment in the form of drugs from puskesmas officers.*
