Glodok Plaza Fire, Police Deploy Puslabfor And Sub-Directorate Of State Security

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya stated that it would deploy a team from the Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) to find the cause of the Glodok Plaza fire, Jakarta. In fact, the State Security Sub-Directorate (Kamneg) was also involved.

"Later we will involve Puslabfor to conduct a crime scene investigation to investigate the cause of the fire," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi to reporters, Thursday, January 16.

It said the investigation process for the alleged cause of the fire would be carried out in a professional and procedural manner.

In addition, the Kamneg Sub-Directorate was also deployed in handling the fire that occurred in Glodok Plaza. The involvement was due to the task of the sub-director who handled the fire and explosion.

"This case was also monototed and backed up by the ranks of the Kamneg Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya," he said.

The deployment of Puslabfor and Sub-Directorate of Kamneg, said Ade, is a manifestation of the seriousness and committee of the Polda Metro Jaya in dealing with every incident that occurs.

"There is a layer of capability, there is backup, there is supervision, there is monitoring, there is assistance. It is carried out so that the handling is procedural, professional, transparent," said Ade.

It is known that the fire at Glodok Plaza was thought to have started from the 7th floor and spread to the 8th floor, 9, and 6th floor. The fire began to appear at around 21.33 WIB, Wednesday, January 15.

The Gulkarmat Service deployed about 20 fire engines at the mall located on Jalan Pinangsia Raya, Mangga Besar Village, Tamansari District. Pedadaman is also carried out with a skylift bronto unit.

The joint team evacuated 8 workers trapped in the Glodok Plaza building and is already being handled by the medical team.

The blackout was carried out until around 10:00 WIB. At the location, Glodok Plaza is currently still being cooled and sweeping by officers.
