MKGR Opens Doors For Jokowi And Gibran

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Gotong Royong Family Conference (MKGR) Adies Kadir stated that this organization is open to anyone, including the 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, to join as members, cadres, or even administrators.

This was conveyed by Adies in response to the issue that Jokowi and Gibran might join through MKGR, which is one of the community organizations founding the Golkar Party. However, Adies has not provided certainty regarding this matter.

Adies invites the public to follow developments in political dynamics, especially ahead of the Organizational Consultative Assembly (MPO) and the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the MKGR which will be held on Saturday. In the forum, MKGR will announce changes in management composition, both adding and reducing members.

"We are open to anyone, including ASN, the general public, or other parties who want to join," Adies said in his statement, quoted by ANTARA Wednesday.

Adies also revealed that several management positions, such as the deputy chairman, would be added, while inactive or unable positions would still be replaced.

Adies ensured that invitations had been sent to President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka to attend the peak event of the 65th anniversary of the MKGR.

Prabowo Subianto will provide testimonials via video, while his presence will be represented by Presidential Special Envoy Raffi Ahmad. Gibran Rakabuming Raka was confirmed to be present at the event.

"We have sent invitations to the President and the Vice President. God willing, the Vice President will attend, and the President will provide a happy birthday testimonial video," added Adies.

The issue of joining Jokowi and Gibran to the MKGR or the Golkar Party continues to be of public concern. The MPO Forum on January 18, 2025 is said to be an important moment to see further developments related to this matter.
