Successful Menpora Cup Esport Tournament, Amali: Try To Involve Participants From Abroad
JAKARTA - The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora) Zainudin Amali appreciated the East Java Youth Renewal Force Youth Organization (AMPI) for organizing the Youth Esport Tournament for the Menpora Cup 2021.
Menpora Amali hopes that a similar tournament can be rolled out again by involving participants or teams from abroad.
"If this is successful, I ask that in the future we try to also involve teams or participants from abroad. Because of the sophistication of technology and digitization, nowadays there are no more boundaries between countries, especially for the implementation of the Esports Tournament, ”said Menpora Amali when opening the Youth Esports Tournament virtually, Saturday, April 17.
In order to realize these hopes, Menpora Amali reminded organizers to focus and concentrate on making the 2021 Menpora Cup Esports tournament a success.
The Menpora also encouraged millennials to continue to show creativity and innovation to do good activities. Moreover, the Youth Esports Tournament this time was attended by the majority of young people.
"Among youths, this is an achievement event. Without competitions or tournaments, all will be in vain. But with the tournament, this is very good as well as measuring the ability of all of you who have been practicing, "explained Amali.
According to the Menpora Amali, Esports is a sport that requires individual skills and teamwork. For this reason, it is hoped that players will be able to show serious matches.
Amali also encouraged the participants to give their best, so that they deserved to be winners and get the Menpora Cup. Compete with sportsmanship and uphold sportsmanship.
"Thank you all those who have supported this tournament. To the committee, once again enthusiastic and I appreciate it, hopefully your work can be upgraded to a higher level, namely international championships or tournaments," concluded Menpora Amali.
