Michelle Obama Refuses To Attend Donald Trump's Inauguration January 20
JAKARTA - Former first lady Michelle Obama will not attend the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump on Monday, January 20 next week.
"Former President Barack Obama is confirmed to attend the 60th Inauguration Ceremony. Former First Lady Michelle Obama will not attend the upcoming inauguration," Barack and Michelle Obama's office said in a statement reported by ABC News, Wednesday, January 15.
This is the second presidential event in two weeks missed by the former first lady.
He was seen absent from the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter on Thursday, January 9, at the Washington National Cathedral.

Former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton will attend the inauguration, as will former first lady Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton. They all also attended Carter's funeral.
