BPS Records Export Value December 2024 Capai 23.46 Billion US Dollars
JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that Indonesia's export value in December 2024 reached USD 23.46 billion.
This number decreased by 2.24 percent compared to November 2024.
Acting (Plt) Head of BPS Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti said that the decline in export value in December 2024 was due to non-oil and gas (oil and gas) exports experiencing a decrease of 3.36 percent on a monthly basis or only reaching 21.92 billion US dollars.
Meanwhile, continued Amalia, the performance of oil and gas exports was recorded at US $ 1.54 billion, an increase of 17.12 percent. The increase in the value of oil and gas exports was driven by an increase in the value of gas exports which contributed 0.68 percent.
"The decline in December's monthly export value was mainly driven by a decrease in the value of non-oil and gas exports, namely in the machine and mechanical equipment as well as its parts or HS 84, nickel and goods, namely HS 75, as well as metal ore and ash ore or HS 26," he said at a press conference, Wednesday, January 15.

Despite the monthly decline, Amalia said that the export performance in December 2024 had increased by 4.78 percent compared to December 2023.
Furthermore, Amalia explained that this increase was of course driven by an increase in non-oil and gas exports, especially in vegetable animal fat and oil goods (HS 15), nickel and goods (HS 75), as well as machinery and electrical equipment and parts (HS 85).
The increase in the value of non-oil and gas exports on an annual basis was mainly driven by an increase in the export value of the processing industry which reached 12.24 percent and an increase in the export value of the processing industry contributed 8.58 percent to the increase in total non-oil exports," he said.
