Ojol Complains App Cuts Reach More Than 30 Percent
JAKARTA - The Garda Indonesia online motorcycle taxi driver Association (ojol) complained about the application's discount which exceeded 30 percent.
The section is considered not in accordance with the rules issued by the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub).
Chairman of the Ojek Online Driver Association Garda Indonesia Igun Wicaksono said his party received a report from an ojol driver that the discount on application fees collected by the operator had exceeded 30 percent.
This violates the rules contained in the Decree of the Minister of Transportation Number KP 1001 of 2022 concerning Amendments to the Decree of the Minister of Transportation Number KP 667 of 2022 concerning Guidelines for Calculating the Cost of Services for Using Motorcycles Used for Community Interests carried out with applications.
In the regulation, he said, the cost of discounted ojol applications was set at 20 percent.
While the pieces of the application applied by the operator currently reach 30 percent.
"Fakta yang ada di lapangan, rekan-rekan kami yang dari dua perusahaan aplikasi besar ini dituncang melebihi 20 persen, bahkan melebihi 30 persen," tuturnya kepada VOI, Selasa, 14 Januari.
"So this piece of application has violated the rules that have been made by the Minister of Transportation," he continued.

In addition, said Igun, the tariff imposed by the ojol operator is also increasingly difficult for the driver.
"We as an association consider that the application continues deliberately violate these rules because there are no sanctions from the Ministry of Transportation," he said.
Unfortunately, there is no follow-up to sanctions from regulators or from the Ministry of Transportation regarding this matter.
"This was silenced by the Minister of Transportation, so the Minister of Transportation is powerless against the arrogance of application companies," he continued.
Therefore, Igun admitted that he would send a letter on a remsi to the Ministry of Transportation to discuss further the cut in application costs that were not in accordance with the provisions at the KP 1001 Kepmenhub in 2022.
"We will definitely write based on the reports of our colleagues," said Igun.
