Frontier Airlines Denies Racist Allegations Against Khabib Nurmagomedov
JAKARTA - Frontier Airlines issued an official statement denying allegations of racism against former UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov.
In a lengthy statement at MMA Fighting, the airline said that their flight attendants asked Khabib to change seats or leave the plane because it was purely for safety.
"The decision to cancel the customer's flight was not at all related to his ethnicity. We have returned his ticket and travel friends," said Frontier Airlines.
Previously, a video clip showing Khabib arguing with a Frontier Airlines flight attendant was busy on social media.
The incident occurred when Khabib was about to fly from Las Vegas to California, United States.

According to reports, the flight attendant repeatedly asked Khabib to move seats because they were deemed incompetent in English to understand the protocol of the emergency door he was near.
Usually on all flights, passengers sitting near the emergency door must know all the instructions that must be done so that they are not confused if an unwanted situation occurs.
Khabib initially insisted on refusing to move because his English skills were good. He was also willing to do all the protocols in the event of an emergency on the flight.
After a long debate, Khabib decided to get off the plane and select another flight an hour and a half later.
Various reactions also emerged after comments related to racism over this incident.
Frontier Airlines explained that when the flight attendant gave an explanation regarding the emergency exit, Khabib did not respond so that there was a feeling of discomfort in the cabin crew.
"Videos circulating on social media do not capture this interaction, instead showing the next interaction after gate officials enter the plane and repeat the notified option," said Frontier Airlines.
