Patrick Kluivert Will Choose 2 Local Assistant Coaches
JAKARTA The new coach of the Indonesian National Team, Patrick Kluivert, will choose two local coaches to accompany his work.
PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir said that his party would only present the names of coaches, but the selection would be carried out directly by the Dutch tactician.
"For local coaches according to the agreement, there are two slots," said Erick Thohir at the Office of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) on Monday, January 13, 2025.
Currently, there are two names that are certain to accompany Kluivert. Both of them are from the Netherlands, namely Denny Landzaat and Alex Pastoor.
The composition of the coach will still be equipped with three other names who also come from the Netherlands and two locals. The three names from the Netherlands will fill the analyst's video position, performance coach, and goalkeeping coach.

Erick was reluctant to confirm the names of several local coaches who had already surfaced on social media. He said that the decision of who was chosen was entirely in the hands of Kluiver.
"There may be 10 names that have been offered. Then, later Patrick Kluiver will judge himself. So, don't believe what is circulating on social media," he said.
The names of local coaches who have recently begun to be linked with Kluivers include Nova Arianto, Zulkifli Syukur, Muhammad Ridwan, and Seto Nurdiyantoro.
Nova previously served as Shin Tae-yong's assistant, Zulkifli currently trains Persela Lamongan, Ridwan has long served as assistant coach at PSIS Semarang, and Seto has just been rested from the position of PSIM Yogyakarta coach.
