KPK Has Evidence Of Hasto's Action, Ready To Open Up In Court

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has no doubts in investigating the bribery case for the interim replacement management (PAW) of members of the DPR and the obstruction of the investigation that ensnared the Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP). Evidence in the investigator's pocket is ready to be opened in time.

This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika in response to the PDIP elite Aria Bima's statement that Hasto had a weapon that could win a pretrial lawsuit.

"Regarding the evidence, we will be able to speak when this case has been transferred to trial," said Tessa to reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, January 13.

Tessa believes the KPK will also win a lawsuit filed by Hasto regarding the determination of the status of a suspect. Because the process is in accordance with the procedure.

"When talking about the formal process as I said earlier, the KPK believes that the determination of the suspect, brother HK, is professional, procedural, and proportional," he said.

Aria Bima said Hasto had a weapon against the KPK suspect status through a pretrial at the South Jakarta District Court (PN). Everything will be opened when the trial takes place.

Hasto filed this lawsuit on Friday, January 10. The application has been registered with case number 5/Pid.Pra/2025/PN JKT.SEL.

Djumyanto will later become the sole judge. The first trial with the agenda of summoning the respondent and the applicant will be held on Tuesday, January 21.

"Later in our pretrial we will also show facts that according to the law there is something we see, Mr. Hasto may be free from the suspect's case," Aria told reporters in the Gelora Bung Karno area quoted Monday, January 13.

Aria did not specify the weapons that had been prepared. The deputy chairman of Commission II of the DPR only ensured that PDIP would support Hasto's steps in filing a pretrial lawsuit.

Moreover, there are allegations of politicization in the bribery and obstruction of the investigation that ensnared Hasto. "So the public will see to what extent the suspect Mr. Hasto really fulfills the prerequisites for matters relating to legal buildings and legal facts," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK developed an interim replacement bribery (PAW) case that ensnared former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan and his fugitive, Harun Masiku.

Two people were later named as suspects, namely PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and Donny Tri Istiqomah who are PDIP cadres as well as lawyers.

It didn't stop there, Hasto was also a suspect in the obstruction of the investigation. He is suspected of trying to obstruct the legal process, one of which is by asking Harun to damage his cellphone and run away after the hand arrest operation (OTT) was carried out.
