Eating Free Nutrition In Pariaman Temporarily Stopped Due To Disposal Of Disposal, It Becomes Waste

PARIAMAN - Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG) in Pariaman City, West Sumatra, is temporarily suspended while waiting for the permanent food container to arrive because during trials the related parties use a disposable container that causes waste so that it has an impact on the environment.

"The directive from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) is that starting Monday, nutritious food will be temporarily postponed until the turnover arrives at our service unit, because the 'box' (food zone) used yesterday can have an environmental impact on waste," said Acting Head of the Pariaman City Youth and Sports Education Office Riky Falantino as reported by ANTARA, Monday, January 13.

He said the decision was taken by BGN as the party running the national program of the President and Vice President Prabowo-Gibran because of the results of the evaluation conducted some time ago.

From the evaluation, it was found that there was a new problem that arose in running the MBG program because it used a disposable container, resulting in a pile of garbage.

His party is currently waiting for information on the continuation of the MBG distribution in Pariaman.

"The exact time when the turnover will come and this program will restart, we don't know yet, we are still waiting for further information from BGN," he said.

At least 3,500 students from 12,600 students in the area have enjoyed the program from the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia. The program started in Pariaman since Monday (6/1) targeting a number of schools.

The menus provided in MBG in Pariaman are rice, fried chicken, eggs, vegetables, and fruit packaged in plastic boxes.

Meanwhile, a classroom teacher at SDN 17 Kampung Baru, Pariaman City, Metia Roza, expressed disappointment from her students by temporarily stopping the MBG program because students are used to being provided with food during rest hours since this program began on January 6.

"This morning the children immediately asked about this termination, although it was explained but it was undeniable that there was a sense of disappointment from these children," he said.

His party received information on Saturday (11/1) regarding the temporary suspension of the program because there are no permanent food containers available.
