Ministry Of Transportation Officials Assigned By The Minister Of Transportation To Collect Money For Jokowi's Victory In The 2019 Presidential Election
SEMARANG - Officials within the Ministry of Transportation are suspected of being tasked with collecting money to help win the 7th President Joko Widodo in the 2019 Presidential Election.
This was revealed in the trial of the alleged corruption case at the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) with the defendant Commitment Making Officer (PPK) of the Central Java Railway Engineering CenterYofi Okatriza at the Semarang Corruption Court, Monday, January 13.
Today's trial is scheduled to examine the former Director of Road Transportation Facilities of the Ministry of Transportation Danto Restyawan as a witness.
Danto said that in 2019, the Director of Infrastructure of the Ministry of Transportation, Zamrides, who was assigned by the Minister of Transportation at that time to collect around Rp. 5.5 billion for the purpose of winning the presidential election.
At that time, Danto was still the Director of the Ministry of Transportation's Railway Traffic.
He said the money was collected from PPK at DJKA which came from contractors for railway projects.
"The information is that Pak Zamrides was asked to run abroad temporarily because the KPK was monitoring him," he said at the trial led by Chief Judge Gatot Sarwadi.

He explained that there were nine PPKs that deposited around Rp600 million each, including the defendant Yofi Akatriza. Other deposits originating from the contractor fee, said Danto, were intended to buy 25 sacrificial animals.
In addition, the General Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation was also asked to jointize IDR 1 billion for fuel purposes for the Minister of Transportation's aircraft during a visit to Sulawesi.
Meanwhile, in private, Danto received money from the defendant Yofi Okatriza amounting to Rp595 million, all of which had been returned through KPK investigators.
Previously, the former PPK of the Central Java Railway Engineering Center,Yofi Okatriza, received a bribe of Rp55.6 billion from dozens of project implementing contractors in the Purwokerto area and its surroundings from 2017 to 2020.
In addition to money, the defendant also received a gift in the form of goods with a value of Rp. 1.9 billion.
