JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir met with the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani. The meeting between the two discussed the downstream ecosystem.

The meeting between the two is known through a video uploaded by Erick Thohir on Instagram social media @erickthohir. The second meeting took place at the Office of the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming.

'Meeting with the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BPM, my friend, Mr. Rosan Roeslani. In accordance with Asta Cita Mr. President Prabowo Subianto, we want to encourage downstreaming to increase added value in the country," said Erick, quoted from Instagram @erickthohir, Sunday, January 12.

According to Erick, the development of the downstream ecosystem cannot be done by just one party. Therefore, he said, collaboration with various stakeholders is important.

"BUMN collaboration and various stakeholders, including from the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BPM, are also an important part of the development of the downstream ecosystem in Indonesia," he wrote.

"We must synergize and collaborate to be able to make Indonesia a downstream ecosystem that can realize President Prabowo's dream to encourage the nation's independence through self-sufficiency in energy," he continued.

Previously, it was reported that the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani reported the investment ministry's work plan for the next 5 years to President Prabowo Subianto.

Rosan admitted that the total investment target collected until 2029 reached IDR 13,032 trillion.

"That's what I convey to the President, and of course, hopefully, this investment that enters Indonesia can also create quality employment opportunities and at the same time, this will also contribute as one of the motors driving economic growth," said Rosan as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, January 2.

Rosan said the investment target in 2025 was IDR 1,905 trillion, while the investment target when Indonesia reached 8 percent economic growth in 2029 reached IDR 3,414 trillion.

This is not an easy job. This is a tough job so it is also hoped that the cooperation and coordination of all relevant ministries, especially in this investment, will involve 18 ministries in our system, so that it is hoped that the cooperation with the 18 ministries will also increase in the future," continued Rosan.
