Minister Of Religion Rejects To Saudi To Bring President's Mission On The Quality Of Hajj Services

Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar and his staff left for Saudi Arabia to carry out the duties of President Prabowo Subianto regarding improving the quality of services for organizing the Hajj pilgrimage 1446 Hijri/2025 AD.

"The hope of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Pak Prabowo Subianto, in the future, Hajj, apart from being cheap, must also be better. This is a challenge for all of us," said Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar in his statement in Jakarta, Sunday.

While in Saudi Arabia, Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar who was accompanied by the Director General of Hajj and Umrah Organizers (Dirjen PHU) Hilman Latief is scheduled to fulfill several invitations related to Hajj preparations.

The Minister of Religion is scheduled to hold a meeting with the Minister of Hajj Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Tawfiq F. Al-Rabiah to finalize the cooperation in organizing the hajj.

"We will carry out several activities while in Saudi. There is a signing of cooperation related to the implementation of Hajj 1446 H/2025 AD and exhibitions," said the Minister of Religion.

"At the exhibition we will witness service providers. We can see who (service providers) is the most appropriate for cooperation in the success of organizing this year's Hajj," he added.

Apart from the Ministry of Religion, according to Prabowo's direction, there are several parties who participate in preparing and supervising the implementation of the hajj.

They are the Hajj Organizing Agency (BP Hajj), the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), and the Prosecutor's Office.

"Give us a chance. I as the Minister of Religion, the Head of BPH, and related parties. There are also the KPK, the prosecutor's office, and various parties who will monitor the implementation of clean, orderly Hajj services," said the Minister of Religion.

The Grand Imam of the Istiqlal Mosque also explained that he was also not an angel. For this reason, Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar hopes for prayers from the community and all Muslims in Indonesia so that this year's Hajj runs smoothly, safely, and comfortably.

"Hopefully, we hope that this year's Hajj can be better, even though the price is slightly lower, but we want the quality of service and its implementation, God willing, it will be better," he said.
