Ketum Kadin Anindya Bakrie Disbursed 4 Main Sectors Focusing On RI-Pakistan Cooperation
Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Anindya Novyan Bakrie said there are four main sectors that are the focus on cooperation between Indonesia and Pakistan, namely food security, energy security, health and defense.
"We sit together to discuss how Indonesia and Pakistan can work together more closely. Earlier we talked about food security, energy security, health, and defense," said Anindya Bakrie in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday, January 11, explaining the discussion discussed in her meeting with the Pakistani Ambassador to Indonesia Ameer Khurram Rathore.
Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Anindya Bakrie received a visit from Ambassador Ameer Khurram Rathore at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tower, Kuningan, Jakarta, Thursday (9/1).
According to Anin, as Anindya Bakrie is called, Pakistan is a big country as well as a Muslim country that has strength, especially in the defense and health sectors as well as agriculture and energy, so cooperation in these sectors needs to be improved.
"He (Pakistan Ambassador) said that later in August there would be efforts such as trade mission and expo from Pakistan and Indonesia and I think that (it is) good," said Anin, quoted by Antara.
He said to prepare for the activity, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry would cooperate not only with the embassy, but also involving Indonesian Chamber of Commerce partners in Pakistan. According to him, trade cooperation between Indonesia and Pakistan can be further improved.
"These two countries are developing so that not only to improve their respective economies, but also trade. I think this is important because Indonesia always looks for access to new markets. Yes, not only (with) China, America (Brush) but also access to new markets. Pakistan is one that we monitor and want to develop, not only good for big players, but also midfielders and even MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises)," explained Anin.
