Patrick Kluiver Arrives In Indonesia Today
JAKARTA Patrick Kluivert who will replace Shin Tae Yong in the coach of the Indonesian national team will arrive in Indonesia on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
The Dutch coach is expected to land at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport tonight or tonight. He was officially introduced last Sunday, January 12 tomorrow.
"We have already got the candidate. Later we will invite all media for the next press conference on the 12th," said PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir when announcing the dismissal of Shin Tae Yong on Monday, January 6.
After the introduction, Kluivert immediately went through a number of important agendas. One of them, he is scheduled to meet national team players who play domestically.
After that, he will also meet the PSSI Executive Committee (Exco), the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), as well as visit the facilities commonly used by the Garuda squad.
"Then the agenda that we carried out on Sunday and Monday included a meeting with Exco, Kemenpora, visits to facilities and others," said Erick.

PSSI officially announced Kluivert as a new coach on Wednesday, January 8 yesterday, over two days after they sacked Shin Tae Yong.
The Dutch football legend was contracted for two years until 2027 with the option of a two-year extension. He has the closest target of bringing Indonesia to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
He will be assisted by two assistant coaches from the Netherlands, namely Alex Pastoor and Denny Landzaat. In addition, there are also two local Indonesian coaches who are assistant coaches.
Kluiver's debut to coach Indonesia is the two third round matches of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Australia and Bahrain on March 20 and 25.
