Cat Case In Universiti Malaya Malaysia Allegedly Mutilated, Wild Dog Catch Operation Is Carried Out

JAKARTA - Malaysian Police said Universiti Malaya (UM) had carried out routine dog control operations following the findings of a number of cats suspected of being mutilated on the campus.

He added that reports of the discovery of cats allegedly being mutilated in the UM had been received. After that, the cat carcass autopsy was carried out and the results released by the hospital on January 2, 2025, stated that the cat's death was caused by a bite of wild animals.

The cats that were previously called mutilation were due to their condition when they were found in a pathetic UM totaling 45 animals.

In investigating the death of animals in the UM, the police have pocketed 11 statements from lecturers, students, auxiliary police, animal activists, and veterinarians.
