Speech At PDIP's 52nd Anniversary, Megawati Questioned The Golden Indonesia Slogan To Call Indonesia Work 'No' Clear

JAKARTA - PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri questioned the slogan Indonesia Gold and Indonesia Work initiated by President Joko Widodo's government. According to Megawati, the slogan is unclear about the meaning and purpose.

It is known, Jokowi has always touted the concept of Nawacita and the slogan "Work, work, work" which is considered to spur his subordinates to work harder. However, the slogan is considered not to be implemented properly for the Indonesian nation.

Megawati initially mentioned the reason why she had to open the 52nd Anniversary of PDIP which was held at the Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta. According to him, his speech could be a lesson for the nation's children and grandchildren so that Indonesia achieves all-time glory.

"Actually, what is it for, I actually made this speech opening, we are not living here today, not, but far for the future our nation. So what for? For the sake of the safety and future of children and grandchildren, great-grandchildren because if not, who will continue? Is it just looking for power, will it only make money, this is a big question for me, this is not just for our children and grandchildren, but how can Indonesia achieve all-time glory and prosperity," Megawati started her speech.

The 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia then mentioned the slogans or taglines of the government, such as Indonesia Gold and Indonesia Work. He considered that these two slogans were not clear in their direction.

"I'm a person who likes to see all kinds of things, I think why there are so many taglines like people forget that our name is Indonesia Raya. So I ask myself, please answer me, how come there are so many like Indonesia's Work, Indonesia's Gold and others, it's not clear in my opinion and I can be responsible, right," said Megawati.

"Because I want Indonesia Raya, it's flying, it feels like it's getting here, right, with that there are still those who are still pessimistic whether Indonesia can be rich? Please sing Indonesia for three stanza, why do I ask the PDI Perjuangan if it doesn't raise the flag, it must be three stanza, because what, it's amazing you think," he continued.
