Chery Will Implement Battery Exchange Scheme From Nio Starting End Of Year

JAKARTA - The electric car battery exchange scheme can be the best solution, so it doesn't take long to charge a battery and is certainly more efficient.

Nio is a car manufacturer that pioneered this battery exchange and one of the automotive giants from China, namely Chery, is interested in this (a battery engineering technology).

Based on a report from CNevpost, quoted on Friday, January 10, it said that Chery has the potential to become the first model of the battery exchange alliance from Nio, as revealed by one of the local automotive bloggers.

"The Sub-brand of Chery, Exeed has partnered with Nio to create a battery exchange capability model that will start for sale in the third quarter of 2025," Blogger @sentingdaf*** said on the Weibo page.

The blog shared images showing the information on Weibo, saying that the information came from Chery's annual media conference. The images show two models including SUVs and sedans.

Meanwhile, another automotive blogger @ArthurShen_Origin said Chery will have two new models built based on Nio battery exchange technology this year.

"An SUV and sedan from Exeed will both go on sale in the third quarter of 2025," according to the blogger.

Previously, Nio announced on January 11, 2024 that his party signed a strategic cooperation agreement for battery exchange with Chery to collaborate on battery standards, battery exchange technology, as well as the construction and operation of battery exchange service networks, unfortunately there was no more detailed explanation of the above.
