KPK Continues To Investigate Other DPR Members Who Are Suspected Of Participating In Enjoying BI CSR Funds
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to investigate members of the Indonesian House of Representatives who participate in the splash of social responsibility funds or Bank Indonesia's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) (BI). This step was taken to thoroughly investigate the allegations of corruption that occurred.
"We are currently investigating this," said KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters quoted on Thursday, January 9.
Asep said the deepening was carried out because one of the related parties said that there were other legislators who enjoyed the money. Including finding out its use.
"Because what we have found so far is that what we have examined in particular, the CSR funds are not used according to their designation," he asserted.
The alleged BI CSR budget was also enjoyed by other DPR members, said Satori after being questioned. This member of the DPR from the NasDem Party faction said that all members of Commission XI of the DPR RI felt the money.
This was conveyed by Satori after undergoing an examination at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, December 27, 2024. At that time, investigators also worked on Heri Gunawan who was a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Gerindra Party faction.
Both are said to be related to the BI CSR fund corruption case which is being handled by the anti-corruption commission. "Everything, really, all members of the XI program got it. No, not just us," said Satori to reporters after undergoing examination.
Previously reported, the KPK is currently investigating allegations of corruption in the Social Responsibility Fund (CSR) of Bank Indonesia (BI). The investigation uses a general investigation warrant (sprindik).
A VOI source said the sprindik was signed in the third week of December 2024. There is no suspect's name on it but two or even more people have the potential to be charged after the search was carried out on Monday night, December 16, 2024.
Meanwhile, the Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK, Rudi Setiawan, said that the alleged corruption arose because the money that should have been enjoyed by the community actually flowed to the foundation. Thus, the state loses because the budget spent is quite large.

"So, BI has CSR funds and then a few percent of it is given to those who are not proper, more or less," Rudi told reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
"(It flows to, ed.) the foundations that we suspect are not appropriate to give," he said again.
