Ruben Amorim Condemns Manchester United Players Don't Want To Move From A Comfortable Zone
Ruben Amorim praised Manchester United after successfully winning a 2-2 draw against Liverpool.
However, in fact, the 39-year-old coach saw that the results were not enough. There are still problems that solve his team.
Amorim assessed that his troops did not want to get out of their comfort zone, which made Manchester United's performance slump later.
In the match against Liverpool, for example, Amoram saw his players still afraid to control the ball.
In fact, the Portuguese coach emphasized that his shock therapy approach was designed to shake the Red Devils to get out of their comfort zone.
"I try (motivated) it every day. I try to push this team every day, sometimes maybe that's not the best way."

"I always challenge these players in every way because I feel we, not just the players, but everyone at Manchester United, are too comfortable."
"So, I think sometimes we need surprises. You can see today we are a different team."
"It's not about the system, it's about how we face competitions. I think it's a very good sign."
"It's very clear, we lost three games in a row at home, some games we conceded two goals without doing anything."
"I was disappointed today, very disappointed. I'm happy with his performance, but everyone today will tell the team they did a good job."
"Today I can be the only person who is disappointed with the team, but today we are a team," Amoram told reporters after the game.
Manchester United have lost five of their last six league games before their match against Liverpool.
Now they face their FA Cup Third Round match against Arsenal on January 12, 2025 before returning to action in the Premier League with home games against bottom club Southampton on January 16, 2025.
However, after losing due to inconsistency during the short period of silence, the former Sporting CP coach is now determined to avoid another slump after a pretty good result against Liverpool.
"Of course, not only until the end of the season, it was very long. However, we had some good matches over the past month."
"It's just that, we then went down again. It was something we really had to do consistently."
"We have spoken after fighting (Manchester) City and the results are the same. We can speak."
"However, we have to show and do it. The best thing is that tomorrow we have training and we have to maintain the same level of mentality," said Amorim again.
Amory also defended Joshua Zirkzee after the forward passed Maguire in extra time instead of shooting.
Maguire failed to take Zirkzee's pass well and fired a shot that bounced over the crossbar in the last chance of the game.
However, it got a special credit as Zirkzee saw more profitable players and overall thought about how to win the game with the team.
"In my opinion, it was the perfect decision. He was able to shoot, but he put the ball in the middle, one person ran back, the ball was very slow for Harry to score."
"However, sometimes you can't do it. In my opinion, Joshua makes good decisions," said Amorim.
Manchester United opened the scoring first through Leandro Martinez (52') before being equalized by Cody Gakpo (59').
The Reds took the lead again with a penalty from Mohamed Salah (70'). The equalizer goal was born to Amad Diallo in the 80th minute.
Manchester United were supposed to win when Harry Maguire was given a chance to score seven minutes into injury time, but the England centre-back fired a shot that bounced over the crossbar.
