Out Of The Black List Of The Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources, Waskita Karya: We Are Extensive In Following Tenders From The Government-Private Government

JAKARTA - PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) has been officially lowered from the blacklist of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).

The decline was carried out after the Panel of Judges determined a decision that already had permanent legal force related to the case.

Previously, Waskita's name had also been temporarily lowered from the National Black List on the InaproC page, after the Panel of Judges granted the plaintiff's request, in this case Waskita Karya, regarding the Postponement of the Implementation of State Administrative Decree (PKPU).

Waskita Karya Corporate Secretary Ermy Puspa Yunita said the determination of the postponement request was valid during the trial process until the decision in this case obtained permanent legal force.

The company welcomes the decision of the Panel of Judges who have signed and canceled blacklist sanctions. That way we can be more flexible in participating in the tender process for all projects, both from the government and the private sector, so that it has a positive impact on the company's operational activities," he said in an official statement, January 6.

Ermy revealed that in the midst of the ongoing company transformation process, Waskita is still recording a New Contract Value (NKB).

The company achieved NKB of IDR 6.8 trillion as of October 2024.

"In the future, the company remains optimistic that it can increase the achievement of new contract value. There are several key strategies that the Company has prepared, including focusing on the new market by targeting various BUMN, BUMD, and private projects," said Ermy.

Waskita, he continued, will also focus on five strategic plans. First, financial stability. Second, return to core business as a company providing construction services.

Then, he continued, the third was to divest in the remaining 10 toll roads. While the fourth, strengthen the governance and risk management of the company responsible.

Finally, we are committed to continuing to improve Waskita's human resources quality in a sustainable manner. This is to create increased productivity and competitiveness of the company. We view that improving the competence of human resources is the main key in running business processes, "explained Ermy.

Ermy also said that the increase in competence was through Work Competency Certification (SKK), training and competency improvement in all business lines of the company.

Moreover, said Ermy, there has also been the signing of a restructuring by 22 bank creditors with an outstanding value of IDR 31.5 trillion which is part of the agreement in the Master Restructuring Agreement (MRA) and the Basic Amendment to the Guarantee KMK Agreement (KMKP).

Ermy said the company also believes that it can continue to carry out sustainable operational activities.

"The restructuring effort has the full support of the Ministry of SOEs and the Ministry of Finance. So with Waskita's name dropping from the national blacklist, it will encourage our business sustainability plan," said Ermy.
