Serial Accidents On The Cipularang Km 97+200 Toll Road, Unstrong Trucks Soar To The Main Cause
BANDUNG A series of accidents occurred on the Cipularang Toll Road Km 97+200, Darangdan, Purwakarta, West Java, on Sunday, January 5, 2025. This incident is thought to have been caused by a coal truck that was not strong enough to climb.
The accident involved five vehicles, namely a truck, Primajasa bus, two private cars, and one Toyota Hiace.
Head of PJR Cipularang Korlantas Polri, Kompol Joko Prihantono, explained that the incident occurred at around 09.00 WIB.
According to Joko, the truck traveling from Jakarta to Bandung suddenly lost power while climbing at the scene. As a result, the truck withdrew suddenly and hit four vehicles behind it.
"Vehicles came from Jakarta to Bandung. Arriving at the scene, Hino Tronton trucks were not strong enough to climb, so they withdrew and hit the vehicles behind them," Joko said when confirmed.
As a result of this accident, two people were injured, namely the Primajasa bus conductor who suffered serious injuries and a bus passenger who suffered minor injuries.
The victim has been taken to Abdulrojak Hospital. The Primajasa bus conductor suffered serious injuries, while the passenger suffered minor injuries," he explained.

The evacuation of vehicles was completed at 10.05 WIB, so that the traffic flow at the scene had returned to normal.
"Since 10.05 WIB, all vehicles involved have been successfully evacuated to the shoulder outside the toll road, so that all lanes can be passed again," concluded Joko.
