Recorded During 2024, Radin Inten Airport Serves 1.14 Million Passengers

JAKARTA - Radin Inten Lampung Airport has served 1.14 million passengers during 2024, experiencing growth of 61 percent proud of 2023 due to the progress of local tourism.

"From January to December 2024, the total number of users of air transportation services at Radin Inten Lampung Airport reached 1,148,000 passengers," said Executive General Manager of Radin Inten II Airport Khaerul Assidiqi in South Lampung, Saturday.

He said the total number of aircraft movements was 8,465 aircraft movements.

"The number of aircraft and passenger movements during 2024 is quite significant compared to before the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019 and from 2023, because it has reached 1 million passengers," he said.

He explained that for passenger movements during 2024 year-on-year there was a growth of 61 percent, while for aircraft movements there was a growth of 34 percent.

"The increasing number of passenger and aircraft movements during 2024 occurred due to many things, such as from an economic perspective, the people of Lampung have begun to stabilize and grow," he said.

According to him, the participation of local governments in promoting tourism, as well as beautifying various tourist destinations in Lampung has also attracted tourists to come.

"Local governments continue to try to attract tourists by improving tourism sector services. Then during the year-end holiday period, the Ministry of Transportation also encourages us to provide convenience for flight services, thus having an impact on increasing the number of aircraft users," he added.
