Erick Thohir Reports To Prabowo: Soekarno-Hatta Airport Terminal 4 Project Cancels Saving IDR 13 Trillion
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir reported the development of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta). One of them is related to the cancellation of the Terminal 4 project at Soetta Airport.
"In accordance with the President's direction to make efficiency in the government, we managed to save IDR 13 trillion which was previously planned to build Terminal 4," Erick wrote, quoted from Instagram social media @erickthohir, Friday, January 3.
In addition, Erick also reported to Prabowo the revitalization and relocation of all terminals at Soetta Airport. Where, he plans to increase the capacity of the airport passengers.
"We are also rebalancing traffic and will gradually increase passenger capacity from 56 million paxes to 94 million paxes," he explained.
In the future, continued Erick, Terminal 1, 2D, and 2E will be focused on Low Cost Carriers. Meanwhile, terminal 3 will be focused on Full Service Carrier.

Meanwhile, continued Erick, Terminal 2F will be focused on serving Umrah and Hajj flights. This step was taken considering the number of low-cost Indonesian pilgrims could reach 1.3 million people.
"Especially for Umrah and Hajj, the priority of the President will be centered at Terminal 2F, considering that the number of Umrah pilgrims per year reaches 1.3 million to 1.5 million pilgrims. Meanwhile, Hajj pilgrims per year reach 241,000 pilgrims," he said.
