Food Price Friday January 3: Red Onions Reaches IDR 40,920 Per Kg And Sugar Consumption IDR 17,960 Per Kg
JAKARTA - The National Food Agency (Bapanas) noted that food prices generally fluctuate, shallots increase to Rp40,920 per kilogram (kg), while consumption sugar decreases to Rp17,960 per kg, as of January 3, 2025.
Based on data from the Bapanas Price Panel, in general food prices at the retail level nationally, premium rice rose 0.46 percent or Rp70 to Rp15,440 per kg.
Meanwhile, medium rice fell 0.07 percent or Rp10 to Rp13,460 per kg; while the Bulog Food Supply Stabilization and Price (SPHP) rice rose 0.08 percent or Rp10 to Rp12,490 per kg.
Furthermore, the onion commodity was observed to increase by 0.24 percent or Rp100 to Rp40,920 per kg; as well as cob garlic rose 1.11 percent or Rp470 to Rp42,880 per kg.
Then, the price of curly red chili commodity fell 2.42 percent or Rp1,250 to Rp50,330 per kg; while red cayenne pepper rose 0.25 percent or Rp160 to Rp63,590 per kg.
Furthermore, the price of pure beef rose 0.20 percent or Rp270 to Rp135,080 per kg; then broiler meat also rose 0.18 percent or Rp70 to Rp37,940 per kg; as well as broiler eggs rose 0.07 percent or Rp20 to Rp30,770 per kg.
The commodity of dried soybeans (imports) was observed to increase by 0.77 percent or Rp80 to Rp10,470 per kg; then consumption sugar fell 0.22 percent or Rp40 to Rp17,960 per kg.
Furthermore, simple packaged cooking oil rose 1.26 percent or Rp240 to Rp19,240 per kg; while bulk cooking oil fell 1.42 percent or Rp250 to Rp17,390 per kg.

Then the bulk flour commodity also decreased by 1.41 percent or Rp140 to Rp9,810 per kg; as well as non-in bulk flour also decreased by 1.47 percent or Rp190 to Rp12,720 per kg.
Furthermore, the price of corn at the farmer level rose 1.48 percent or Rp90 to Rp6,180 per kg; while the price of fine salt with sodium also fell 1.13 percent or Rp130 to Rp11,370 per kg.
Meanwhile, the price of convex fish was observed to increase by 1.36 percent or Rp520 to Rp38,740 per kg; while tuna fish fell 2.36 percent or Rp760 to Rp31,400 per kg; then milkfish also decreased by 1.54 percent or Rp520 to Rp33,170 per kg.
