Jasa Marga Records 426,539 Vehicles Leaving Jabotabek During The New Year Holiday Period
JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. noted that 426,539 vehicles left the Jabotabek area on D-3 to D-1 for the 2025 New Year Holiday or in the period 29 to 31 December 2024.
This figure is the cumulative number of traffic flows (traffic) from the four Main Toll Gates (GT), namely GT Cikupa (to Merak), GT Ciawi (to Puncak), GT Cikampek Utama (towards Trans Java) and GT Kalihurip Utama (towards Bandung).
The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 7.96 percent compared to normal traffic, namely 395,101 vehicles), said Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication & Community Development Group (Persero) Tbk Lisye Octaviana, in an official statement, Wednesday, January 1.
Lisye said that for the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek towards the three directions, the majority were 196,186 vehicles or 46.0 percent headed for the East (Trans Java and Bandung). Then, 128,906 vehicles or 30.2 percent headed for the West (Merak), and 101,447 vehicles or 23.8 percent headed for the South (Puncak).
The details, continued Lisye, traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 95,207 vehicles, an increase of 21.32 percent from normal traffic.
Meanwhile, traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road, with a total of 100,979 vehicles, an increase of 19.33 percent from normal traffic.
"The total traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java and Bandung through the two GTs was 196,186 vehicles, an increase of 20.29 percent from normal traffic," he explained.
Then, traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Merak via the Cikupa GT Tangerang-Merak Toll Road is 128,906 vehicles, 5.24 percent lower than normal traffic.
Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road was 101,447 vehicles, an increase of 5.71 percent from normal traffic.
Lisye said that during the D-1 New Year 2025 holiday or Tuesday, December 31, 2024, traffic leaving Jabotabek at four main toll gates was recorded at 126,734 vehicles or 2.7 percent lower than normal traffic, namely 130,281 vehicles.

"Jasa Marga recorded an increase in the flow of vehicles towards Bandung on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at GT Kalihurip Utama, as many as 31,463 vehicles increased 21.5 percent from normal traffic (25,898 vehicles)," explained Lisye.
Lisye again reminded that the peak backflow for the 2025 New Year period is predicted to occur today, Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
"Users of roads to avoid travel at peak times and avoid traveling at their favorite times such as in the morning and at night to avoid vehicle buildup," he said.
