Habsikan Biaya Produksi Rp330 Miliar, Queen Woo Terpilih Jadi Drama OTT Terburuk 2024
JAKARTA - Queen Woo was chosen to be the drama that airs on the platform watching online or the worst OTT in 2024.
This drama was selected through a survey conducted by TV Daily from 17-26 December 2024, which involved professionals in the entertainment industry and journalists in South Korea.
Queen Woo's drama stars a row of well-known South Korean actors, including Jeon Jong Seo, Ji Chang Wook, and Lee Soo Hyuk.
This drama spent a budget of 30 billion women or around Rp330 billion to produce it.
However, the costs incurred are not comparable to the achievements of the drama. Queen Woo drew harsh criticism and ended up being the worst 2024 OTT drama, earning 24 votes from 100 professionals in the entertainment industry and journalists in South Korea.
This drama is considered bad because it displays excessive nudity and adult scenes. The development of the drama story plot is also considered provocative.
The excessive sexual scene interferes with the development of the story, said a South Korean entertainment industry, reported by Allkpop, on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
"Although it (sexual scenes) may be an attempt to achieve historical accuracy, these explicit scenes feel awkward and reduce the overall quality of the work," added another.
An entertainment reporter also vehemently criticized that Quee Woo is like a low-class pornography, which is worth 30 billion won.
The appearance of the actors was also criticized, especially historical acting from the main character Jeon Jong Seo, whose acting was considered awkward and had problems with her dialogue.
