Police Investigate Finding 1 Kg Of Unclaimed Methamphetamine On Tanjung Keling Beach, Riau Islands
KEPRI - Police secured 1 kilogram (kg) of unclaimed methamphetamine on the edge of Tanjung Keling Beach, Malang Meeting Village, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province (Kepri).
Head of the Narcotics Unit of the Bintan Police, Iptu Davinsi, Jodi Sidabutar, said that the methamphetamine was initially found by a local resident with the initials S while sitting on the beach in Malang Meeting, on Tuesday, December 24 afternoon.
"While sitting, this resident of S saw a clear plastic package such as containing instant noodles on the beach in Malang Meeting," said Iptu Davinsi in his statement, Monday, December 30, confiscated by Antara.
Feeling curious about the contents in the plastic, then S took it and opened it, and it turned out that there were a number of objects resembling white stones.
Suspicious of the object, he also contacted the Bintan Police Narcotics Satresnarkoba officer to check further the contents of the object wrapped in plastic with the words GUANYIN WANG. The plastic condition of the teapot and glass has also faded and been overgrown with small corals.
Before long, the Bintan Police Narcotics Unit personnel arrived at the scene and found the plastic package was open.

Furthermore, the police conducted a test using the Narcotic Test (General Screening Drugs) witnessed by S and several people around the location.
"The test results found that the object was positive for methamphetamine," said Davinsi.
According to him, until now the Bintan Police Narcotics Unit is still investigating the possession of the plastic package containing the methamphetamine.
The police have secured evidence in the form of clear plastic written by GUANYIN WANG, along with narcotics of the type of methamphetamine weighing approximately 1 kg.
