The Deputy Minister Of Home Affairs Directly Monitors Air Transportation Services In Papua Mountains
JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) Ribka Haluk monitored and directly observed air transportation services in the Papua Mountains Province, on Wednesday, December 25.
This was done to follow up on President Prabowo Subianto's instructions regarding the policy of decreasing aircraft ticket prices during the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) period.
"We all know that the President has given a policy in reducing plane ticket prices, for that I directly check and follow up on the instructions," said Ribka in a statement in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Saturday, December 28.
According to him, the policy given by President Prabowo is proof of the government's attention to people throughout Indonesia.
"This policy is proof of the government's attention to people throughout Indonesia, including in Papua. For that I thank Mr. President Prabowo and Mr. Vice President Gibran and Mr. Minister of Home Affairs," he said.
He said there were unusual things in flight services in Papua Mountains.
This is air transportation services, ranging from passenger flights to basic food logistics to using Hercules aircraft belonging to the Indonesian Air Force (AU).
"This is very different, this may happen only in Papua that flight services are carried out using the Hercules aircraft belonging to the Indonesian Air Force as an alternative because public airlines or others do not operate on Christmas Day," explained Ribka.
