Sumbawa Was Rocked By An Earthquake With A Magnitude Of 4.2 On Early Friday
JAKARTA - An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 rocked the Sumbawa region, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), on Friday, December 27, 2024 at around 00.51 WIB.
Based on information from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the epicenter of the earthquake was at coordinates 7.95 South Latitude and 117.63 East Longitude, about 64 kilometers northeast of Sumbawa, with a depth of 272 kilometers.
Until now, there have been no reports of the impact of damage or casualties caused by the earthquake that hit the Sumbawa area. The public is advised to remain vigilant and follow the development of information from the authorities.
