PLN Baturaja Gandeng Polda Sumsel Strengthens Electricity Infrastructure Security
OGAN KOMERING ULU - By cooperating with the South Sumatra Police, PT PLN Baturaja Transmission Implementing Unit (UPT), Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, South Sumatra, strengthens electricity infrastructure security.
PLN UPT Baturaja manager, Sugandhi in Baturaja, OKU Regency, South Sumatra, Thursday, said that his party was strengthening collaboration with the Directorate of Security for Vital Objects (Ditpamobvit) of the South Sumatra Police to secure electricity infrastructure, especially in the working area.
"We do this as a form of commitment in maintaining the safety and reliability of customer electricity supply," he said, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, December 26.
One of the steps taken to increase security is the Technical Cooperation Agreement (PKT) to strengthen synergy in securing national vital objects.
He explained the collaboration between the two parties to ensure protection of electricity infrastructure, especially at the momentum of Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 which requires extra readiness.
As a first step, he said, his party together with the South Sumatra Police conducted a security inspection at the Muara Enim Extra High Voltage Substation (GITET) which is one of the national vital objects that plays a strategic role in the distribution of electricity in the South Sumatra region.
The security of this facility is a priority to ensure the smooth distribution of electrical energy that supports the needs of the community, industry, and public services.

This collaboration with the Ditpamobvit of the South Sumatra Police is part of PLN's efforts to maintain the reliability of electricity distribution in South Sumatra, which is an area for electricity energy barns on the island of Sumatra.
"We are committed to providing the best service, especially in important times such as Christmas and New Year's momentum," said Sugandhi.
General Manager of PLN UIP3B Sumatra, Daniel Eliawardhana added that the safety and reliability of electricity supply cannot be separated.
He appreciated the synergy with the South Sumatra Police Ditpamobvit in ensuring the protection of PLN assets that support energy stability in the region.
With a close synergy with the Ditpamobvit Polda Sumsel, PLN is optimistic that it will be able to face challenges in maintaining a stable and reliable electricity supply, especially during an increase in energy needs during Christmas and New Year's momentum.
"We realize that the reliability of electricity supply is highly dependent on the safety of supporting infrastructure," he said.
