Pilkada Result Dispute Lawsuit Reaches 56.9 Percent, Anthony Budiawan: Pilkada Simultaneously 2024 Brutal!

JAKARTA - Managing Director of Political Economy and Policy Studies (PEPS), Anthony Budiawan, said that the 2024 Pilkada was brutal. This was said by Anthony to see the number of disputes or disputes over the results of the Regional Head Elections registered in the Constitutional Court reaching 310 regions, or 56.9 percent of the 545 regions.

The Provincial Election Dispute reached 21 out of 37 provinces or 56.7 percent. The Regency Pilkada Dispute reached 240 out of 415 regencies or 57.8 percent, and the City Head Election dispute reached 49 out of 93 cities or 52.7 percent.

"The results of the 2024 Regional Head Election turned out to be very bad, and the worst in the history of the Pilkada. It is suspected that there were many violations and unlawful acts in a structured, systematic and massive manner. Brutal Alias," said Anthony in his statement, Thursday, December 26.

As is known, the simultaneous 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) will be held on November 27, 2024 in all regions in Indonesia, involving 545 regions consisting of 37 provinces, 415 districts and 93 cities.

According to Anthony, since long ago many parties have doubted that the 2024 simultaneous regional elections can go well. In fact, many parties smelled an unpleasant odor in the implementation of this simultaneous regional election.

"It turns out to be true. The number of regional election disputes, which show that the implementation of the 2024 Pilkada is very concerning and embarrassing, reflecting that something is wrong in the implementation of the 2024 simultaneous regional elections," said Anthony.

Anthony assessed that the majority or almost all lawsuits related to regional election fraud were TSM (structured, systematic, and massive). This massive fraud allegedly involves officials in the regions, such as village officials and law enforcement officials.

"The results of the very bad 2024 simultaneous regional elections have been suspected. Since 2022, when the term of office of the regional head was completed for 5 years, Jokowi postponed the Regional Head Election until November 2024. At the same time, Jokowi through the relevant ministry appointed the Acting Regional Head as a replacement for the Regional Head whose term of office was expired. Therefore, Jokowi can control all Regional Heads in Indonesia, and can order the regional head of the doll to win the candidate pair of regional heads he supports, at all costs, including the mobilization of village officials and state institutions who are now known as a brown party or 'parks'," explained Anthony.

Which is a big problem, continued Anthony, the postponement of the Pilkada which has expired, and the appointment of the Acting Regional Head as a substitute for Regional Head, violating the constitution, violating Article 18 paragraph (4) of the Constitution.

"What reads: 'Governors, Regents, and Mayors respectively as heads of provincial, district and city governments are elected democratically.' This means that Regional Heads should not be appointed by the President or the relevant Ministries, but must be elected democratically," he explained.

"Meanwhile, the Acting Regional Head only applies in terms of the Regional Head being unable to stay in his term of office. Not to replace the Regional Head whose term of office expires," continued Anthony.

Anthony said that all the designs and engineering of Jokowi's fraud were proven to produce a very bad 2024 simultaneous regional elections, with a dispute over the results of the Pilkada reaching 56.9 percent. The electability survey which is alluded to is very accurate by the survey agency as well.

"It's not just that it's not accurate, but it's the opposite. For example, the electability rate of the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor of Banten, Airin Rachmi Diany and Ade Sumardi, which reached 77.3 percent a few days before voting, turned out to be a landslide loss, with only 44.12 percent of the vote. How could something like this happen, if there was no TSM factor X?," he said.

Especially for the Banten case, added Anthony, it was very striking. The case of PSN PIK 2 shows transparently the side of village officials to entrepreneurs who are very close to Jokowi. This village apparatus, he said, should be suspected of being the winning machine for the candidate for the Governor-Deputy Governor-Vice Governor who is supported by Jokowi, by justifying everything.

For this reason, Anthony hopes that the Constitutional Court as the final gateway for justice and democracy can carry out its duties as well as possible.

"The Constitutional Court must take firm action against all forms of fraud and unlawful acts in the 2024 simultaneous regional head election. Including canceling the victory from the results of TSM fraud," he concluded.
