Arne Slot Beware Of Leicester Era Van Nistelrooy

JAKARTA - Liverpool coach Arne Slot is wary of Leicester City in the era of Ruud van Nistelrooy, who according to him has now begun to find rhythms of the game in recent matches.

Liverpool will host Leicester City in Week 18 of the Premier League at Anfield, Merseyside, Friday at 03.00 WIB.

"I think it's positive from Leicester that the teams positioned in the bottom table, they have lost most of the game, but because of the presence of Ruud (van Nistelrooy) they have now won several matches," Arne Slot said on the club's official website, quoted by Antara, Thursday 26 December.

"So it shows us that he has done very well, especially when he entered as a coach," added the Dutch coach.

Slot said that Ruud van Nistelrooy is a very potential coach especially from his experience in dealing with PSV and becoming an interim coach at Manchester United.

While Arne Slot was still in charge of Feyenoord, Ruud van Nistelrooy together with PSV were unable to be defeated by the 46-year-old coach after two Feyenoord meetings to win one draw and one loss.

"I think Ruud did his job very well when he was at PSV because over the past year and a half, they have been at the top of the league table, but if we look at the second half of the Ruud season, I think they haven't even lost," Slot said.

The Reds are still ahead head to head against The Foxes after Liverpool's last five games have always won over Leicester.
