Christmas and New Year Holiday, Komdigi Prepares 10 Monitoring Cars for Frequency Constraints

TANGERANG - Entering the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) Holidays, the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) has prepared 10 frequency monitoring vehicles in several locations. The aim is to anticipate frequency disruptions when entering the celebration.

Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid said that these 10 monitoring cars will be placed at points that have a surge in passengers, both ports and airports.

"So at this time, there are 10 cars to continuously monitor this frequency, we are currently placing them in 10 big cities," said Meutya Hafid, Wednesday, December 25.

"However, because of its mobile nature, if there is a surge, for example at a certain port, we can move it, so like that," she continued.

In addition, her party also provides mobile Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) at certain points. The aim is to anticipate the loss of signal or frequency during the Christmas-New Year holidays.

It is known that BTS functions as a tool for sending and receiving radio signals to communication devices. The points start from Jakarta, Surabaya, Makassar, Medan Manado and Denpasar.

"Increase up to two times its capacity and place mobile BTS in tourist areas that are considered quite crowded," she said.

Therefore, to ensure that the points placed are right on target, said Meutya, her party has been deployed right on target.

"We have also ordered the Director Generals to check directly that this is indeed provided by cellular operators by sampling at certain points," she concluded.
