Christmas Holiday, DKI Transportation Agency Has No Odd Even Until December 26
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) canceled the odd-even motorized vehicle system in Jakarta on the Naru holiday Wednesday, December 25 and Thursday, December 26.
Head of DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that the elimination of odd-even today coincided with Christmas Day 2024 and collective leave.
"In connection with the celebration of Christmas Day 2024, the odd-even implementation on December 25-26 2024 will be abolished," said Syafrin in his statement, Wednesday, December 25.
Syafrin said that the determination of this holiday was based on the Joint Decree of the Minister of Religion, the Minister of Manpower, and the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia Number 855 of 2023, Number 3 of 2023 and Number 4 of 2023 concerning National Holidays and Joint Leave in 2024.
Then, Article 3 Paragraph (3) of Gubernu Regulation Number 88 of 2019 states that traffic restrictions with the odd-even system are not enforced on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays which are stipulated by the president's decision.
"We are advised by vehicle drivers to always comply with existing traffic signs, prioritize road safety and follow the directions of officers in the field," he said.
