7 Mountain Series Through The African Continent With The Beauty Of Nature Stunning

The mountain series that span from north to south, and from east to west, have been formed through various geological processes over millions of years.
Interestingly, these mountains not only offer stunning views, but also become home to a variety of ecosystems and cultures.

One of Africa's most prominent mountainworks is the Atlas Mountains, which stretches for more than 1,200 miles in the northwestern region. The mountains are the backbone of three countries in the Maghrib: Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia regions.
The highest peak is Mount Toubkal, which stands at an altitude of 13,671 feet. The Atlas Mountains is also home to natives of Berber and a variety of flora and fauna, including Barbary monkeys, Atlaser snakes, and BARbary leopards.
In South Africa, the Drakensberg Mountains is a natural barrier between the central highlands and coastal lowlands. Crossing more than 700 miles, this mountain is home to the highest peak in South Africa, Thabana Ntlenyana, which stands at an altitude of 11,424 feet.
The Drakensberg Mountains is also known for its diverse plant and animal life, ranging from several species such as mountain sparrows, Tanjung carcasses, and Drakensberg skin.

The Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the "Moon Monument," are located on the border of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda.
The Mountains have six separate glaciers, the world's highest non-vulcanic, and non-orogenic mountains. The Mountains has the highest peak, namely Mount Stanley, which towers up to 16,762 feet.
Located in Ethiopia, the Ethiopian Highlands are often referred to as "Atap Africa" because of their vast heights. The rocky mountain masses are divided into two parts, namely Massif Abyssinian and Massive Harar.
