Brad Delson Has Spoken Out About The Decision To Withdraw From Linkin Park Tour

JAKARTA - Linkin Park guitarist Brad Delson finally opened his voice after deciding not to appear on a world tour with the band, after Emily Armstrong was lined up to replace the late Chester Bennington.

As is known, Delson's absence for Linkin Park's world tour this time was replaced by Alex Feder.

Delson's latest interview with Guitar World, the 47-year-old guitarist tried to start his explanation jokingly.

"Alex is so handsome, so the world can't refuse it," said Delson with laughter. "Even if I want to hold it back, the charm is like a hope that is fulfilled. It is a prediction that is manifested by itself."

According to him, there are many contexts in his decision to withdraw from the world tour. He said Linkin Park's seven-year hiatus gave him the opportunity to re-evaluate his professional life.

"For me, not much active time over the last few years has given us each a great opportunity to think qualitatively about the band, what gives us energy, where we are most satisfied, and where we develop," he said.

Delson also called Feder an extraordinary musician and a tough live player, adding that with the band's return, several aspects are believed to change.

"For everyone, it's not like, 'Let's go back to what we're doing.' It's like, 'Let's take advantage of what we've learned in our spare time to get closer to our role with our self-awareness and greater insight', said Delson.

Frankly, currently the guitarist feels more comfortable when in the recording studio, than appearing on stage.

I'm really developing in the studio. I like to make new things. That's what gives me energy in terms of personality," he said.

That's why I decided to focus my energy on that area and make Alex my world explorer twin. I think he brought a lot of things to the show," he continued.

Although he was not directly involved in the show, Delson still played an important role in what he gave behind the scenes.

I'm really proud of this show. Even though I wasn't on stage, I put a lot of my creative love into this show. I've always been obsessed with the list of songs, the concept of shows, and how it flowed. I worked very hard on today's show. It's no different from the past," he said.
