Pressing Truck Density, ASDP Diverts To Cross Ketapang-Lembar Through Anchor Ports

JAKARTA - PT Transport Sungai, Lake and Crossing (ASDP) Indonesia Ferry (Persero) diverted the Ketapang (Banyuwangi)-Lebar (Lombok/NTB) route through the Situbondo Anchor Port.

General Manager of ASDP Indonesia Ferry Ketapang Branch, Yani Andriyanto, said this transfer step was taken to reduce the density of trucks at Ketapang Port in Banyuwangi.

"We are also coordinating with the Land Transportation Management Center (BPTD) to schedule ship departures that are more effective and optimize the suddenly disassembled (TBB) scheme to accelerate ship rotation," he said in Banyuwangi, Sunday, December 22, which was confiscated by Antara.

In dealing with the extreme weather predicted by the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), Yani Andriyanto appealed to service users to plan trips properly and prepare appropriate equipment.

"We also remind service users that tight crossing hours usually occur from 18:00 WIB to early morning. For this reason, we recommend that service users choose a looser travel time to avoid queues at the port," he said.

Yani appealed to all service users to have tickets before arriving at the maximum H-1 port of departure because there were no more go-show ticket sales at the port.
