Boy Lives On India's Sidewalk Killed By Car, Driver Arrested By Police
JAKARTA - A four-year-old boy was killed by a speeding car on the streets of Wadala, Mumbai, India, Sunday, December 22.
A 19-year-old driver named Bhushan Gole stopped his car after hitting the victim who was playing on the road.
"In the first examination, the driver was not under the influence of alcohol," a police official told the PTI news agency, quoted from the Hindustan Times, Sunday, December 22.
The driver was then secured. The police confirmed that further investigation was carried out by his party.
The victim and his family are known to live on the sidewalks in the area. His father works as a odd worker.
This collision occurred after a government-owned electric bus driver lost control of his vehicle triggered a deadly accident in Wadala on December 9, 2024.
The electric bus accident killed seven people, injured 42 others, and damaged more than 20 vehicles.
