Bukayo Saka Had Hamstring Problems When Arsenal Beat Crystal Palace

JAKARTA - Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta confirmed that winger Bukayo Saka had problems in the hamstring section so he had to be pulled out in the 24th minute when the Gunners slaughtered Crystal Palace 5-1 at Selhurst Park, London, Sunday morning WIB.

"Paka merasakan kecenatan di hamstringnya, dia tidak bisa melanjutkan pertandingan, dan dia harus cek medis. Kami benar-benar mengkhawatir soal ini," kata Arteta dalam laman Arsenal dikutip via Antara, Minggu, 22 Desember.

Arteta still doesn't know how bad a hamstring injury might be for the England international.

The Gunners have just lost two wingers within 24 hours after Raheem Sterling was also unable to perform due to injury.

With the tight schedule Arsenal goes through, Arteta was not surprised by the series of injuries that hit the Gunners.

"Unfortunately with the number of games we play every three days, it doesn't surprise me but the team will react to that," said former assistant coach Pep Guardiola.

As of this news, the Arsenal medical team has yet to announce the condition of the injury suffered by the Arsenal academy dropout.

Victory over Palace saw Arsenal get an additional three points which put the Gunners in third place with 33 points or three points behind leaders Liverpool.
