Diving Under Boat, Singapore Girl Dies Dragged By Baling-baling In Maldives

JAKARTA - A 15-year-old girl from Singapore was killed by the boat's propeller while diving in a tour study into the Maldives.

Quoting Metro.co.uk, Sunday, December 22, this incident began when Jenna Chan was diving with a number of her friends passing under the boat.

But suddenly the boat engine was turned on by the owner. The boat then turned around and dragged Jenna who was under him.

Meanwhile, his friends avoided the incident that occurred on November 8, 2024.

The incident experienced by Jenna at that time is still a question mark of her parents, Alan Chan and Jennifer Liauw, until now.

Speaking to The Times, the victim's parents said after the incident authorities in the Maldives did not offer a post-mortem examination of their daughter's body.

Both also claimed there were no witness statements from teachers or students who were with Jenna at the time.

Alan and Jennifer also feel that the cases experienced by their daughter are allowed to pass without being investigated deeply by the authorities in the Maldives.

The search for information from Jenna's parents made British Foreign Office Spokesperson speak up.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs supports families who still have blood from British descent contacting the Maldives authorities to express their curiosity.
