Land Collapsed Collapsed Building Killing 1 Person In India, Owner Accused Of Murder Article

The joint apparatus continues to search for victims suspected of being buried in a collapsed building in Sohana Village, Mohali, India.

Citing the Hindustan Times, Sunday, December 22, the police revealed that the four-story building contained a fitness center in the basement, collapsed due to excavation work carried out on adjacent land by building owners.

The excavation caused the ground to collapse and knocked down the building.

Parwinder Singh and Gagandeep Singh residents of Chao Majra Village who are the owner of the building as well as the boss of the land excavation project have been charged under Article 105 related to murder (excluding premeditated murder).

In the collapse of the building on the evening of Saturday, December 21, a 20-year-old woman was reported to have died from injuries buried in the rubble.

Another one who was rescued is still being treated at the hospital in critical condition.

Officers estimate that there are still three victims trapped under the rubble of the building by continuing their search until Sunday, December 22.

The head of the army minister, Bhagwant Mann, through his X account, said he was sorry for the incident that happened to residents in Sohana Village. He promised to continue with local officials and rescue teams at the scene.
